Wild Canyon Games (WCG) is unique. It combines running, swimming, biking, geocaching, climbing, zip-lining, and blobbing and more into a competitive team challenge. Athletes from every walk of life will join us June 3-5th to Xperience the Edge.
Each WCG team is comprised of 7 members. Teams will work to earn points while competing in events ranging from a 15.5 mile mountain bike race through the high desert of central Oregon, to a zip-lining target shooting competition over our zip line lake. The team that earns the most points by the end of the weekend will be crowned the 2011 Wild Canyon Games Champion.
Wild Canyon Games is broken down into 3 phases: The first phase features an Olympic length triathlon relay. 3 of your 7 team members will compete in our relay triathlon. Teammate one will swim 1 mile, teammate two will do a 15.5 mile mountain bike ride and finally teammate three will finish by running a 10K. Simultaneously, the other 4 teammates, in pairs of two, will compete in a geocaching competition unlike any other. We have hidden 350 plus geocaches throughout 160 square miles of wilderness. Get Ready…
The second phase involves the longest zip-line in North America, a 40 foot high canyon swing, a high ropes course, blobbing, cliff jump, thrill slide and the adventure course. No doubt that these events will not only test your guts but also your athleticism. Get Excited…
The third and final phase will decide it all…it involves a 7 person relay race to the top of the highest peak, we call it the Creek to Peak Challenge. Go…
